I’m SO excited to get started again teaching my class called “KNOW THE BIBLE”. This year the focus will be on an overview of the Old Testament, which is just so rich and full. It will be an overarching view of the history, looking at the timeline, connecting the storyline and finding God all over the pages. Of course God would be all over the pages because the Bible is his story! And a beautiful story it is!
I have been spending every spare moment studying and preparing for the class. But, that is fun to me! I just love learning and never get tired of discovering those wonderful “ahas” in the Bible!
Something that I am really looking forward to this year is that we will start out with a short overview study on the Tabernacle before we begin the history overview of the Old Testament. And then, even BEFORE the Tabernacle study, we will spend a few weeks diving into the book of Revelation. How fun? I know, I know. The book of Revelation is in the New Testament not the Old, but here’s the thing… we will “begin with the end in mind”. Don’t you just love knowing the end of the story? I am actually one of those people who will tend to flip over to the end of a book or a study and read the last few pages. It helps me capture what the writing is all about. So, just a quick overview of Revelation will remind us where God’s story is going so that we can be looking for the important pointers along the way that show us how we are getting there.
I can’t wait to start!!
