A Joy to Speak at ABSC conference

Explore – Discover – Grow

A room full of children’s directors, ministers, workers, teachers… these are some of the most fun, creative, and hard-working people. Can I get an “Amen”?

It was such a joy and honor to speak encouragement into them based on Ephesians 2:10. “You are God’s Masterpiece.” We took a look at the prophet Jeremiah and some of the crazy object lessons that he used to teach and get his message across to the people.

We learned to Embrace the Mess, Carry the Yoke, Stay on the Spinning Wheel, and Never Bury the Underwear. (It’s in the Bible).

We even talked about a little scared FOX that I saw on the tracks in the London subway tunnel a few days earlier. The little fox was in a bad place.

But… the train conductor SAW him. CARED about him. Invested TIME in him. And he made a DIFFERENCE in his life. Our children’s leaders have a huge responsibility and are given only a short amount of time in a child’s life.

I am SO THANKFUL for the DIFFERENCE they make in our children’s lives by seeing, caring, and spending time. And by using unusual object lessons, fun activities, and all kinds of creative methods to teach and show Jesus to them.

Thank you ABSC for hosting this conference. And thank you for asking me to have a small part in appreciating them.
